Hi! My name is Bobby. I've been a firefighter for the last twenty years. My favourite part about the job is having the opportunity to help people, which is why I'm so excited to be participating in Walk the Walk this year. The chance to draw attention to a cause, to raise some money for a worthwhile organization and try something new are all important reasons for me to put on the best performance you'll see all night!
Since 2019 Shawn Fraser has served as the CEO of the John Howard Society of Saskatchewan, a non-profit organization with a mission is to assist individuals who are at risk or are involved in the criminal justice process by providing prevention, intervention, support services and advocacy. JHSS also happens to be the organization that hosts Lulu's Lodge.
Originally from Carnduff, Saskatchewan, Shawn has also served his community as the Executive Director of Carmichael Outreach, City Councillor for Regina's Ward 3 and Senior Director of Partnerships for the YMCA of Regina.
Born with two left feet, Shawn is stepping out of his comfort zone to support the important work of Lulu's Lodge. He's hoping his wife and four kids can offer him some dance lessons this summer.
Talitha McCloskey (she/her) is a Saskatchewan-based relationship builder, advocate and community strategist whose work lives at the intersection of equity, leadership and meaningful connection. As Senior Manager of Impact Partnerships and Government Relations at Growclass, Talitha builds partnerships that enable women, tech founders, marketers and underrepresented professionals to access practical, career-changing skills. Outside her 9-to-5, she is Co-Founder and Chief Disruption Officer of RaiseHER Co., an award-winning community-building social enterprise that supports women and girls in building confidence, leadership, advocacy skills, and strong villages of support.
A partner and mother of two boys, Talitha lives and breathes the belief that intentional community can change lives, and that supporting youth is one of the most powerful ways we build a better world. While this may be Talitha's first time stepping onto the drag stage, make no mistake: she has been preparing for this moment her whole life. From The Birdcage to To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar, to every possible season of Drag Race, Talitha has been lovingly studying the art of drag from afar since she was a little girl. Now, in support of Lulu's Lodge and the 2SLGBTQIA+ youth who deserve safety, belonging, and community, she is ready to trade admiration for action and step into the spotlight!
Hi, I'm Tyler, co-owner and one of the creative forces behind Rooted Living Designs in Regina.
I'm a small-town queer boy who believed in bigger things for himself and reached out of his comfort zone to achieve it! Now I'm a small-business mogul and advocate for the Support Local movement. For over seven years, my partner and I have poured our hearts into Rooted to help people express their style and create spaces they love, while creating a safe space for marginalized communities. What started as a passion for plants and unique home décor has grown into a community-focused business dedicated to bringing a little more life, creativity and connection into people's homes.
Like people, plants do more than decorate a room; they tell stories, spark joy and remind us to slow down and appreciate the little things. If you listen to the people participating in Walk the Walk this year, their stories, including mine, will help shape a more kind and passionate future for our community.
I'll leave you with this, "I believe growth happens when we step outside our comfort zones, and that success isn't just about accomplishments. It's about the relationships we build, the memories we create and the impact we leave on others."

Hey everyone. My name is Robert Kraushaar and I’m a Tattoo Artist and a Registered Social Worker. I am the Director of Kinder Connections YQR and my focus with Social Work is with mental health, addictions and houselessness. But I deal with everything that I come across on the streets, whether it’s in my wheelhouse or not. I have been on the streets providing accessible counselling, access to detox and treatment, access and support with housing and shelter, wound care and tons of other services for some time now. I am also an award-winning tattoo artist who has been in the industry for about 28 years. Tattooing has allowed me to carry out my dreams and plans of a different approach to social work. It’s also the outlet that allows me to stay creative and happy. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. I have personal reasons for being a part of this event. I may not be the best dancer or look good in a dress, but hopefully the lights are bright enough and I can move fast enough that no one notices. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this great cause. I’m looking forward to having fun and doing something completely different.
Why Sponsorship Matters
At 17, many 2SLGBTQ+ youth are forced into homelessness after being rejected at home. In Canada, about 25–40% of homeless youth identify as 2SLGBTQ+.
Lulu’s Lodge is nearly full at around 95% occupancy, with a waitlist of youth still needing safety. Without places like this, they often face couch surfing, violence, or exploitation.
Sponsorship helps keep the shelter running and funds essentials like caseworkers, meals, transport, counseling, and gender-affirming care. It provides not just support, but real safety, stability, and hope for a better future.
