Watch our virtual community forum on the Compassionate Intervention Act
On Thursday, April 23, 2026, John Howard Society of Saskatchewan hosted a virtual community forum on the province’s proposed involuntary treatment legislation from a legal perspective on August 23, 2026. We heard from the Saskatchewan Medical Association and discussed with community organizations and members how best to advocate for just, sustainable treatment and supports in our communities. Seventy-six screens joined the call. Below is the recording of the event.
