John Howard Society of Saskatchewan would like to thank the Moose Jaw community for supporting our tattoo fundraiser on May 30.
Over 80 people came through the doors and we raised over $3,000 in support of Willow Lodge, our downtown emergency shelter. Thirty-five people trained at APSS’ naloxone table and local talent Megan Nash performed four songs to lucky prize winners.
“What a great day for our community to come together in support of our most vulnerable. So many people showed their generosity by donating their time, energy and resources. Watching the talent, laughter, comradery and everyone’s willingness to learn was a highlight of mine. I was so happy to share what a strong Willow Lodge Team we have and give a tour of the things that we are accomplishing nightly!”
Thanks to the many folks who made the day a success:
-
Skye from High Priestess and Bec from Rebeccas Tattoos for donating their proceeds to the cause
-
Henna by Kushboo and Rajani
-
Erin from AIDS Program of South Saskatchewan
-
Moose Jaw Families for Change who donated a BBQ for a door prize and won by Simmi!
